Set in the stillness of an empty bureaucratic waiting room, the film weaves together three narratives: a poem written by me, an economic externality graph by Tim Choy, and a Rajasthani folktale collected by Vijay Dan Detha. A sudden inner “crack” heard while standing in a queue opens the film’s reflection on what we forget, overlook, and ignore collectively. The externality graph reveals the hidden costs that society shifts onto its most vulnerable — the Breathers. Alongside this, the folktale of the leaf and the clod of earth shows both the tenderness of care and the limits of protection when stronger forces intervene. Through this simple montage, the film explores fragility, unseen burdens, and the quiet violence of systems that shape everyday life.
